The audio teaser of
Shamitabh that has Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan, took an
unconventional route, much like the film itself. The audio teaser was
used as a clever tool to introduce the audiences to this much-awaited
film, produced by RK Damani, Sunil Lulla, Gauri Shinde, Rakesh
Jhunjhunwala and Abhishek Bachchan.
The makers launched the trailer in a larger-than-life fashion, bringing the magic of old-school cinema back. It manages to heighten the curiosity till the end without giving away the plot.
Says director R Balki, “Nothing about Shamitabh is conventional and the trailer is testimony to that. It will keep you guessing and doesn't give away the plot and we hope that audiences come to the theatre to know more.“
Says producer Sunil Lulla, “The trailer leaves you at the edge of your seat and that was the attempt of giving audiences something that confuses, perplexes and excites them.“
Shamitabh, produced by Eros International, releases February 6.
