It's common for actors to get involved with the roles they portray on screen. However, it's rare when you hear of someone being turned away from dubbing because she didn't sound like her screen character. Ask Shraddha Kapoor, who was politely told by Mohit Suri to dub for Half-Girlfriend (HG) some other day. The actress had already begun shooting for Haseena Parkar, director Apoorva Lakhia's biopic on Dawood Ibrahim's sister, when she had to dub for her romantic drama.

However, while Shraddha was shuttling between two films, Mohit felt that her voice seemed a little too baritone for her character Riya (in HG). It was only when he learnt that she had been shooting for Haseena Parkar that required a certain voice, he suggested she wraps up the ongoing schedule of that film and then resume her dubbing. And going by the response the actress is getting for her voice in the biopic's teaser, one can understand why Mohit must have taken the decision.
