Not long after taking up against open defecation in his film, Toilet - Ek Prem Katha, Akshay Kumar has put his words to action in real life. Baffled by the growing pile of trash right next to a popular Andheri studio that he has been frequenting for shoots lately, the 50-year-old actor decided to do something about it.
“Akshay decided to lead by example, hiring a team to clean up the area. He personally oversaw the progress. He is also making efforts to educate people he works with about the importance of hygiene and inspire them to not litter the sets,” a source tells Mirror.
Akshay is currently shooting for the last schedule of Reema Kagti’s sport-drama Gold in Mumbai, besides his television show, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
